Outlook Plugin connecting to pcLaw and Orion SQL Databases
We created an Outlook plugin allowing employees to easily tag email communication with clients. It allows even a new member of a team to immediately recognize what case is an email referring to, even if it came from a person they are not familiar with. It also automatically saves sent and received emails to a client's folder on a network share. All this is absolutely transparent to a user, even if the network share is not available at the moment. It usually happens to mobile users outside of the office. No error messages, no warnings. Any data that failed to upload to a server share will be automatically uploaded next time the computer is connected to a local network. No user intervention required. A nice feature is that a pcLaw SQL database doesn't have to be available all the time for the plugin to work. It works even if you take it out with you to work on a beach.

Shell Plugin for easier access to client folders
When a file structure on a server reaches thousands of folders and sub-folders, it takes an effort to navigate to a client's folder. Even if it takes 15 seconds each time you do it, ask yourself how many times an hour you do it. Every hour, every day. Our solution brings you an edit box in a system tray to allow for a direct access to client folders. Once you type in a client number, press Enter, and the folder will immediately pop up in front of you. You can also access a history of your past searches. The list of past searches doesn't only show client numbers, it shows names as well. It is connected to your pcLaw SQL database, just like the Outlook plugin.

Sorting of PDF Invoices
We created a simple tool helping to keep track of invoices. The goal was to automatically copy PDF invoices to respective clients' folders. A second goal was to also copy the invoices to a central location to sub-folders indicating a year and a month of an invoice. All information needed to accomplish the task is extracted from invoice PDF files. Client numbers, billing date, client folders, all of it is automatically determined from invoices. Saved a lot of time. This used to be done manually.
